Read Judges chapters 1-2.
As you read, ask:
What does it say?
What does it teach me about God?
How does God want to shape or transform me to be more like Him?
Pray: Lord, as a people, we have sinned, and we are sorry. This generation is full of
people who don’t know you or what you’ve done for them. Help us not to “each do what
is right in our own eyes.” Rather, help us to collectively submit and surrender to you. May
we talk about you day and night as we read in Deuteronomy 6, so that those around us may know you and your ways. Take us into the Great Unknown as a church, a city, a nation, and the world.
May we see you do greater things than we’ve ever seen before as you help us to be a faithful people.
